Digital
Telecom specialise in the supply, installation and maintenance of the
Samsung iDCS range of digital telephone systems.
Business
Telephone Systems
The
vast majority of telephone systems available today are digital systems
– in effect they are computers for routing calls that are
designed to operate and work with digital lines (ISDN2e and ISDN30e
- otherwise known as Basic Rate ISDN and Primary Rate ISDN). Digital
systems offer more features, more cost-effectively. Analogue systems
are still available and if your telephony requirements are limited
then an analogue system may be the right choice for you.
Whether you
are a business, school or college, medical centre or retail outlet,
communications now means much more than making and taking calls,
and it is now possible to access and share voice, fax, video and
data through your telephone system. With the Samsung range of digital
voice and data solutions you can utilise the latest developments
in telephony and IT technology, enabling your organisation to communicate
efficiently both internally and to a wider audience. |

Service
and Maintenance
 |
Digital
Telecom offer a maintenance agreement on all new system sales, and
we are happy to quote you for maintenance on your existing telephone
system subject to a 'Maintenance Acceptance Test '.
All Digital
Telecoms service, maintenance and installations are carried out

satisfaction. We do not subcontract any work. |
Consultancy
The majority of telephone
system purchases in the UK today are made from specialist telecommunications
dealers and the company should take the time to work with you to ensure
you get the functions and features that match your individual requirement.
Digital Telecom offer
a 'NO OBLIGATION' consultancy service on all aspects of telecommunications
to ensure that we fully understand your requirements and can provide you
with information 'in plain English' with the best possible solution for
your particular needs.
VoiceMail
|
Voicemail,
and its associated applications including auto-attendant, are tools
that can improve the image your business presents to incoming callers,
and varies in its degree of sophistication and the facilities it
offers to end users. At a basic level it is similar to an answering
machine as it allows callers to leave messages for staff in individual
mailboxes.
The key question
to consider is perhaps how many mailboxes your company will need.
Other considerations are how many hours recording/storage are required,
do you wish to record conversations, how many ports (to allow External
and Internal users to access the system at the same time) are required,
and can you access the mail boxes remotely and securely via passwords
etc. Digital Telecoms experienced consultants will guide and advise
you on the best solution for your individual requirements.

Automated
Attendant
Most people think
of an auto-attendant as being a system that can guide people through a
number of options (for example: Press 1 for sales, Press 2 for service,
etc). The Samsung iDCS range however offers an alternative in that callers
can be ‘ Queued ‘ with a comfort message (for example: Welcome
to xxx company, your call is being held in a queue for an operator/agent.
Please hold for connection).
Whatever your requirement,
Digital Telecoms experienced consultants will guide you through the pro’s
and con’s and implementation for voicemail and/or auto-attendant
working.
Low
Cost Calls
In conjunction with
YourCommunications (United Utilities/Norweb) we are able to offer you
‘Low Cost Calls’ via the British Telecom Carrier PreSelect
Service (CPS). There are no costs to you, no long term contracts and no
other equipment is required.
Finance
(Purchase or Rent?)
Besides paying for
your equipment outright other options include Lease Rental and Lease Purchase.
For example, if you
need new equipment and do not have or want to utilise your existing capital
at that specific time, then leasing could be an option.
 |
There
are many advantages to leasing, making it a viable business option.
Most importantly by spreading your payments over time means that
acquiring a telephone system or service is driven by need and not
by budget.
Many companies
have no need to own the equipment they utilise and rely on a traditional
purchasing approach instead of using the more efficient route that
leasing can offer. A further benefit of leasing is that your existing
credit lines are not affected as the facility cannot be withdrawn
and payments are not impacted on by changes in interest rates and
can be offset against taxable profits (an increase in tax efficiency)
treating the rentals as revenue expenditure within your accounts.
It is rare that leasing cannot provide benefits but often companies
that do not lease have not evaluated the benefits. |
No one method of acquiring
your new telephone system is one hundred per cent right or wrong. Just ensure
that you have evaluated the options , and then choose whatever best suites
your business….. the choice is yours.
